PRP contains a range of growth factors and proteins that speed tissue repair. As some types of hair loss result from damage to hair follicles, researchers initially hypothesized that PRP could help regrow hair by reversing the process that occurs in androgenetic alopecia. Since then, PRP has become a popular method of restoring hair growth. The hair growth cycle takes up to 90 days, for this reason, results may not show immediately but are often visible within 2 months with more dramatic results visible in 5-8 months. The number of treatments required depends on the condition of your hair but we normally recommend 4-6 treatments 4 weeks apart, then a single top-up treatment 6-12 monthly to maintain results.
